                  3. Get the "Where's My Puppy" article. Read it. It's an example of analogy. More examples can be found here.
                  HW - write an analogy paragraph in which you develop a metaphor in a paragraph of 11-12 sentences.

                  1. Access the Senior Project web site and read the info on the letter of intent under the Planning tab. Come to class Friday with your letter written and printed.
                  2. Get the pronoun/antecedent worksheet from me. Check your answers.
                  3. We read some of the first chapter of TTTC. Get the notes on zeugma from a classmate.

                  1) Highlight your essay on the draft using the red, yellow, green schematic we used. If you don't have enough green, you wil revise your paper.
                  2) Get the 9-11 articles from me. Read the first and highlight red, yellow, green.
                  3) Finish reading the Vietnam War packet
                  HW - revise essay if necessary
                  - read 30 pages of outside reading book
                  - bring a flash drive to class on Tuesday

                  1) Make up vocab quiz.
                  2) Go to www.mrsmacy.com - home page and follow the link to take the student accreditation survey.
                  3) Go to documents and links and look at the outside reading list. Choose a couple books that sound interesting. Go to the library to check out one of them. You will be expected to read 200 pages for the first quarter.
                  3) Get notes on pronoun/antecedent agreement
                  HW - essay on the draft is due
